Strategic professional role focused on adapting the latest trends in investment sales to drive business results. Requires excellent communication and diplomacy skills to negotiate internally at a senior level and influence colleagues across areas. Accountable for direct business outcomes and technical strategy within a sub-function, including staff management and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage investment products including Mutual Funds, Alternative Investments (Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Funds), and Discretionary Portfolios managed by CIM (Citi Investment Management).
  • Educate Bankers, Investment Counselors, and sales team members to enhance product knowledge and proficiency.
  • Act as internal product expert; develop marketing programs to drive sales.
  • Help develop and manage the pipeline for new business opportunities.
  • Support after-sales servicing and collaborate with Banker teams to meet revenue and AUM targets for Managed Investments.
  • Analyze and discuss current and historical global market conditions.
  • Communicate complex technical details clearly, tailored to the sophistication of clients or sales team members.
  • Influence CPB personnel by applying expertise in product specialty.
  • Assist Private Bankers and Investment Counselors in evaluating client profiles (return expectations, risk appetite, time horizon, liquidity needs) and recommend suitable investment products.
  • Present in internal meetings and conference calls on product features, benefits, and new offerings.
  • Attend client meetings with Bankers; participate in presentations and sales pitches as needed.
  • Serve as liaison with Global Investment Research/Due Diligence teams and Private Bankers.
  • Identify product gaps or opportunities and recommend potential alternate products to the Research team.
  • Assess business risks with consideration for the firm’s reputation, compliance with laws and regulations, and ethical judgment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in investment products.
  • FINRA Licensed Series 7, 63/66.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Investment products.
  • Prior Private Banking experience.
  • Background in discretionary investment offerings preferred.
  • Proven sales and relationship management skills, including building successful relationships with external clients and internal partners.
  • Experience delivering high-quality service to complex individual or corporate clients.
  • Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/University degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $176,720.00 – $265,080.00. Eligible employees may also receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
