About the role

The Alternative Investments Advisor Relations Team supports the Firm’s Financial Advisors by managing the field sales support of non-banking products and the business development functions for our branch network. The team enables greater communication of fund information for the Alternative Investments business across Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, Infrastructure and Private Real Estate funds.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales, Product and Research segments to ensure a unified approach to relationship management and client service.
  • Work independently and as a team player to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Collaborate across internal groups to oversee the response to investor requests and questionnaires.
  • Articulate knowledgeably, clearly, and professionally with key internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with private fund investors to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Work proactively to solve problems and present in front of both small and large groups.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investor relations, client service and/or sales.
  • Experience working with private funds and deep knowledge of the Alternative Investment asset management industry required; knowledge of real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity preferred.
  • Experience working directly with private fund investors, with a focus on servicing investors to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with financial concepts and financial markets.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses required upon hire or within 4 months of joining the team.

Benefits

Morgan Stanley offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. Base pay ranges from $57,000 to $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment, with individualized determination based on the position.

Pay

Base pay for the role will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
