Responsibilities

  • Assist senior members of Asset Management team with overall monitoring, surveillance, and management of existing portfolio positions.
  • Review performance of financial asset transactions versus covenants and analyze trends within a transaction.
  • Understand loan mechanics to perform ongoing borrowing base reviews, collateral verifications, financial analysis and liquidity assessments of corporate level risk for each investment.
  • Design and maintain borrowing base and servicer report templates through the translation of legal documentation for lending as well as borrowing (leverage facilities) transactions.
  • Participate in borrower update calls and provide support during negotiations with borrowers for modifications and other requests from management teams.
  • Produce quarterly cash flow models for individual transactions.
  • Ensure timely receipt of reporting from borrowers and management teams.
  • Fulfill recurring reporting requirements for leverage facilities – borrowing bases, servicer reports, financials, covenants, and other transaction specific deliverables.
  • Participate in monthly Asset Management meetings with senior Blue Owl management.
  • Assist with documentation of amendments and other legal matters.
  • Engage in field exam related activities - examiner engagement, scope design, report review, and issue remediation.
  • Support senior members of Blue Owl’s Asset Management team on workouts, restructurings, liquidations, and other special situations.
  • Participate in watchlist meetings and provide updates to senior Blue Owl staff regarding developments on problematic credits.
  • Absorb and assist senior staff with complex litigation involving current or exited Blue Owl positions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience at a specialty lender, commercial bank, or investment firm, with a focus on credit monitoring, asset management, and/or workout situations.
  • Strong foundation in fundamental credit analysis, including financial statement analysis and preparation of detailed financial spreads.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting legal documentation, including credit agreements and transaction structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams, operate independently, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in evaluating risk and making decisions.
  • Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and grow; actively seeks and incorporates constructive feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, risks, and key drivers of performance.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively across stakeholders.
