About the role

Piper Companies is seeking an Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) with CI Polygraph for a worldwide technology company in Reston, VA. This is a contract position with potential to convert to permanent, requiring onsite work five days per week. The job opens for applications on 10/2/2026 and will remain open for at least 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Assistant Facility Security Officers (AFSOs)
• Prepare, review and issue DD254s
• Initiate and process security clearances
• Perform indoctrinations and program briefings
• Act as security administrators for the program
• Provide personnel escort for ICD build enhancements (existing and new spaces)

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
• Open to candidates transitioning from physical security to industrial security or those with some industrial security exposure
• Experience processing clearances in DISS or prior work with an AFSO is preferred

Pay

$90,000 - $130,000
