About the Programme
Alliance Insurance Company has officially opened applications for its Analyst Graduate Trainee Programme 2026, targeting ambitious graduates eager to build a career in actuarial science, risk analysis, and insurance analytics. The programme, which runs for 12 or 18 months, provides structured experiential learning, mentorship, and direct exposure to real-world actuarial challenges within a licensed financial services provider in Lesotho.
What You Will Do
Trainees will support critical functions including:
- Actuarial valuations
- Product pricing
- Financial modelling
- Experience analysis
- Strategic projects that strengthen the company's insurance portfolio
Successful trainees will gain practical experience in areas such as:
- PAA and GMM valuations
- IBNR calculations
- Mortality and lapse analysis
- Product performance monitoring
- Asset-liability modelling
- Capital adequacy requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Actuarial Science preferred as a minimum)
- No prior work experience required
- Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
- Knowledge of Excel, R, or Python is a strong advantage
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and learning agility
