About the role
All West Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Equine Veterinarian to join their growing team in Bozeman, Montana. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of equine practice experience and be passionate about providing high-quality, progressive care to horses.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for equine patients, including wellness exams, lameness evaluations, sick horse exams, and after-hours emergency services
- Collaborate with a supportive team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Participate in community events and sponsorships, such as the Montana college rodeo
- Utilize advanced diagnostic technology and respond to field service requests within the Bozeman area
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Montana
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine and surgery
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Passion for continued professional development and learning
Qualifications
- Experience with equine medicine and surgery
- Advanced knowledge of equine anatomy and physiology
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective leadership and management skills
Skills
- Advanced diagnostic imaging techniques (digital radiography, ultrasonography)
- Proper use of dental equipment
- Knowledge of in-house laboratory procedures (Coggins testing)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
