About the role

U.S. Tsubaki is a leading manufacturer and supplier of power transmission and motion control products, offering state-of-the-art solutions as part of an international network. This role involves setting up and operating a wide range of fabrication, production, and assembly equipment to produce finished components and assemblies while maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality, and tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment for fabrication, production, and assembly of components and finished products across one or more departments.
  • Maintain equipment efficiency and quality, ensuring adherence to tolerances and work specifications.
  • Measure and inspect quality parameters of components and assemblies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform inventory transactions and manage material movement (raw materials, work in process, finished goods) to support continuous operations.
  • Assist, train, and develop new operators.
  • Use advanced trades mathematics (including trigonometry), technical drawings, specifications, charts, databases, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Operate production-related equipment, including CNC machines, multi-machine workstations, computers, and technical software (e.g., CNC programming).
  • Take ownership of work schedules and quality, adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with team members to improve processes.
  • Make decisions under time constraints to support departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved training program for setting up and operating fabrication/assembly equipment in manufacturing or shipping departments.
  • Ability to measure and inspect fabricated and assembled products.
  • Proficiency in advanced trades mathematics, technical drawings, specifications, and precision measuring tools.
  • Experience with production equipment, including CNC machines, multi-machine workstations, and technical software (e.g., CNC programming).
  • Equivalent experience to a completed accredited apprenticeship, 2-year technical college education, or Journeyman designation.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to adapt to change and work collaboratively in a team environment.
