Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System, protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast-paced team is composed of many small agile teams working together in a dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop discrimination/fusion algorithms within the C2BMC Track Server application
- Analyze, test, and verify existing algorithm design and performance
- Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
- Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
- Work from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
- Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of algorithms and software
- Interface with other system support groups
- Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
- Develop technical documentation (whitepaper/ADD) and present design to external stakeholders
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment, and Warfighter Support to ensure mission success
- Present work to external stakeholders within an agile team environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in computer/electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7+ years of professional experience
- Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated understanding of sensor discrimination/classification of objects
- Demonstrated experience in design, development, testing, and documentation of complex mathematical algorithms
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis of complex algorithms and software, including utilizing metrics and visualizations to ensure product performance
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause, and recommend a solution
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a highly dynamic environment
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $104,900.00 - $194,700.00
The salary range is a general guideline. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market (work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.
