The Nursing Program Director oversees the daily operations of the BSN program at the Albany Market campus. The position focuses on meeting New York Office of Professions standards, CCNE standards, and achieving acceptable NCLEX pass rates and graduation rates.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the BSN program at the Albany Market campus.
- Ensure compliance with New York Office of Professions standards, CCNE standards, and achieve acceptable NCLEX pass rates and graduation rates.
- Manage resources for the nursing program under guidance of the Campus Director.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate programs and services to support nursing instructors in their teaching careers.
- Coach and guide associates in carrying out their responsibilities and enhance inter-departmental relations.
- Research new opportunities for instructor development through internal and external means.
- Prepare the master schedule to maximize efficiency while maintaining high-quality instruction.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and communicate action plans for teaching opportunities to nursing instructors.
- Interact with nursing faculty on a regular basis to identify opportunities for individual and/or group training and development.
- Manage registration of continuing nursing students.
- Support the dean and registrar in evaluating transcripts to determine appropriate transferability of credit for new nursing students.
- Facilitate the use of ATI as a means and mechanism of student success in the NCLEX process.
- Handle inquiries and problematic situations.
- Support college and student activities.
- Encourage and motivate students to help them clarify personal and career goals.
- Participate in campus retention efforts.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree from an accredited institution with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Two years’ experience in supervisor capacity in the academic arena, preferably as an educational nursing director.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and work with others in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Nursing faculty teaching hold a valid and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

- Knowledgeable about nursing program development, implementation, and coordination.
- Experience in managing academic records and ensuring adherence to college policies and procedures.
- Ability to develop and implement programs and services to support nursing instructors in their teaching careers.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with nursing faculty and students.
