Responsibilities
- Performing startup, installation and closeout of all jobs
- Assisting Project Managers in other tasks as assigned
- Installing and terminating cable and equipment as per specifications and relevant building and electrical codes
- Reading, understanding, and following scope of work/specifications and blueprints
- Terminating devices correctly based on wire diagrams/cut sheets
- Understanding and reading technical publications/installation manuals
- Testing equipment after terminations are complete to ensure system performance
- Training Trainees on RFI procedures, systems, and installation techniques
- Understanding basic circuitry, including open/closed circuits and relay logic
- Drawing out wire circuit details for reference in documentation and training
- Using a multimeter correctly for testing and troubleshooting, including measuring voltage, resistance, amperage, and determining electrical polarity
Requirements
- High school education, or equivalent, required
- 2-year associate degree in electronics/basic electrical theory preferred
- 3+ years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Basic computer skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift occasionally and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision and color vision
- Effective communication with employees and/or customers
- Manual dexterity for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of moderate objects
- Operation of power and manual tools/equipment
- Operating office equipment
- Standing and working on a ladder
- Reaching and working overhead
