Responsibilities

  • Performing startup, installation and closeout of all jobs
  • Assisting Project Managers in other tasks as assigned
  • Installing and terminating cable and equipment as per specifications and relevant building and electrical codes
  • Reading, understanding, and following scope of work/specifications and blueprints
  • Terminating devices correctly based on wire diagrams/cut sheets
  • Understanding and reading technical publications/installation manuals
  • Testing equipment after terminations are complete to ensure system performance
  • Training Trainees on RFI procedures, systems, and installation techniques
  • Understanding basic circuitry, including open/closed circuits and relay logic
  • Drawing out wire circuit details for reference in documentation and training
  • Using a multimeter correctly for testing and troubleshooting, including measuring voltage, resistance, amperage, and determining electrical polarity

Requirements

  • High school education, or equivalent, required
  • 2-year associate degree in electronics/basic electrical theory preferred
  • 3+ years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift occasionally and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Close vision and color vision
  • Effective communication with employees and/or customers
  • Manual dexterity for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of moderate objects
  • Operation of power and manual tools/equipment
  • Operating office equipment
  • Standing and working on a ladder
  • Reaching and working overhead
