Job Responsibilities
- Installation of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Service, trouble-shoot, and maintain fire alarm systems and related equipment
- Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to meet project deadlines and goals
- Conduct and coordinate necessary system testing
- Complete and process paperwork as required by office and corporate management systems
- Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, and other personnel
- Coordinate daily work schedules and direct employee productivity
- Maintain inventory on company vehicles
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ensure timely and complete submission of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc.
- Ensure timely and accurate incident and accident reporting
- Hold oneself accountable for all safety initiatives
- Ensure proper inventory management
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Communicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customers
- Participate actively in required team meetings
- Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
- FAL certification required
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation requirements, and NFPA codes and standards
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm installation and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm blueprints, submittals, and operation/product manuals
- Valid state driver's license and good driving record
- Experience with powered hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices
- Positive communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other trades, customers, and project managers
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with company safety practices
