Job Responsibilities
- Installation of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and related equipment
- Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to meet project deadlines and goals
- Accurately complete and process paperwork as required by the office and corporate management systems
- Conduct and coordinate necessary system testing
- Ensure required certifications are complete
- Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, or other personnel in service, repair, and installation processes
- Coordinate daily work schedules and direct daily tasks and productivity of assigned employees
- Maintain inventory on vehicle
- Perform all other duties assigned

- Follow safety protocols, including completing JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, incident and accident reporting, and ensuring proper inventory management
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of timesheets, maintaining professional and accurate documentation
- Support adherence to company safety practices and policies, including proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, and actively participate in required team meetings
- Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed, and demonstrate positive teamwork and leadership skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
- FAL certification required
- Understanding of NFPA codes and standards
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation requirements, and NFPA codes and standards
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm blueprints, submittals, and operation/product manuals
- Valid state driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to interact and communicate professionally with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.
- Experience with powered hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices
- Positive teamwork and leadership skills, including mentoring others
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all company safety practices
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to take direction from upper management
- Accuracy in completing and maintaining all paperwork
- Vehicle and tool maintenance according to company policy
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and local applicable codes
- Experience with powered hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices

Pay
Sign-on bonus offered for FAL and NICET 2 applicants only.
