About the Role

Aladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that connects the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock, with over 50,000 end users globally.

The Aladdin Front Office Relationship Manager will work closely with Aladdin clients to be their trusted consultant, problem solver, and business partner, helping them maximize the value of Aladdin.

Responsibilities

  • Own relationships with clients’ portfolio management, risk, performance, and reporting teams; enable them to use Aladdin to achieve their firms’ goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to unlock new uses of Aladdin as they implement new strategies, invest via new instruments, and manage market changes.
  • Act as a consultative partner to senior client stakeholders, articulating how the Aladdin product vision maps to a client’s business and strategic initiatives.
  • Understand client’s Aladdin adoption and develop a strategy for approaching clients on product and harvesting opportunities.
  • Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to Product Managers and tracked through successful development and deployment.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and operational industry trends to help clients stay ahead of changing times.
  • Engage with clients to define key strategic and tactical initiatives, leveraging your internal network to oversee and execute cross-functional project solutions.
  • Navigate across the firm to drive successful outcomes.
  • Proactively “manage up” through clear communication and transparency.
  • Coach junior team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management workflows and/or portfolio analysis, portfolio optimization, risk decomposition, and performance attribution.
  • Industry knowledge for both private and public markets.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients.
  • Ambitious approach to large, complex projects, with a flair for problem solving.
  • Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and works well as part of a multi-disciplinary global team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in Aladdin, eFront, or other private markets financial technology is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Linux/UNIX command line, Python, or JavaScript.

Pay

For San Francisco, CA, the salary range for this position is USD $147,500.00 - USD $195,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
