Responsibilities
- All phases of food preparation, production, and presentation for our dining establishment hot line and banquets
- Checking in deliveries and dating product
- Operation of standard commercial kitchen equipment
- Set up, cleaning, sanitation, and closing of workstations and kitchen
- Accurate testing of prepared food items to ensure proper temperature and quality
- Labeling and dating products to ensure food safety and quality
- General cleaning duties of area and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have 2 - 4 years’ experience in food preparation
- If an internal candidate, must complete the Cooking Practical for Line Cook I before moving to Line Cook II
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have the ability to withstand repetitive reaching and bending
- Responsible handling of hot equipment, sharp objects, and navigating wet floors required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push a cart weighing up to 150 lbs. required
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours required
