AJO Platform Engineer
About the role
The AJO Platform Engineer manages the full lifecycle of personalized digital experiences across Adobe surfaces. This includes requirement gathering, backlog management, content authoring, campaign execution, quality validation, production monitoring, and support. The role combines agile delivery with hands-on operational work. It requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to reliably deliver and improve digital experiences for millions of global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with PMs and business collaborators to understand and capture requirements, identify scope for relevant squads.
- Define and validate personalization logic, audience segmentation, and campaign targeting for accuracy and consistency.
- Author components and experiences in a headless CMS across multiple Adobe surfaces and customer journeys.
- Build campaigns to deliver personalized content experiences to a global customer base.
- Serve as a partner concern point for production incidents, owning triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination with engineering teams.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, document findings, and deliver preventive recommendations.
- Maintain runbooks, incident playbooks, test cases, and operational documentation.
- Contribute to automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and reduce toil.
Required Skills & Experience
- Functional 3+ years in JSON scripting, Product Support, QA, or a similar role within digital platforms.
- Experience with campaign orchestration or experimentation tools (Adobe Target, AJO, Optimizely).
- Understanding of personalization, audience segmentation, and A/B testing.
- Incident management, SLA adherence, and on-call support experience.
- Splunk proficiency: dashboards, SQL queries, alert configuration, JSON and REST API validation; Postbuster or Postman.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
Preferred Qualifications
- Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, AJO, Adobe Target, Analytics) experience.
- Headless CMS architectures and content delivery frameworks.
- SQL and analytics debugging.
- Test automation frameworks or scripting.

Expected Pay Range
The U.S. pay range for this position is $82,400 -- $163,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
