What You'll Do
- Possess and grow a book of business, building long-term relationships that drive repeat volume.
- Negotiate customer rates and carrier costs to protect and expand gross profit (GP) margin on every load.
- Partner with carrier sales, operations, and pricing teams to ensure on-time service and resolve issues quickly.
- Track pipeline, activity, and account health in the CRM/TMS; forecast volume and revenue accurately.
- Stay on top of market capacity, freight rates, and competitor activity in the Miami/South Florida market and beyond.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly GP and volume targets.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of outside or inside sales experience in the freight/logistics industry — freight brokerage, 3PL, asset-based trucking/carrier, or freight forwarding.
- Documented top-performer track record: quota attainment, sales awards, President's Club, or a portable book of business.
- Strong cold-calling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; comfortable with a high-activity, metrics-driven sales cycle.
- Broad working knowledge of TMS platforms, load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and CRM tools.
- Based in or able to reliably work from the Miami, FL area.
- A bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered in place of a degree.
