AISD Student Tutor

About the role

Assist with leadership of elementary student groups in order to improve academic achievement for students. This position is supplemental to locally funded positions.

Responsibilities

Assist with leadership of elementary student groups to support academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior status in an AISD high school is required.
• Proficiency in math, reading, and writing is required.
• Enrollment in a work‑based learning course is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral directions and to exercise good judgment.
• Ability to lift 50‑75 pounds.
• Possess acute and/or corrected visual and hearing capabilities.
• Possess manual dexterity and physical capabilities to perform all job requirements.
• Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills; high degree of literacy and higher order thinking skills.
• Possess good mental health to perform all job requirements.
• Be average or better in energy, health, and vitality.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Experience working with school‑age students is preferred (e.g., church‑related schools, day camps, youth groups, athletics, private schools, or similar).

Pay

$15 per hour
