Airport Security Officer: Part Time Unarmed Patrol Site Checks

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations using computer or tablet technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, perimeter areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established airport and site-specific protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site leadership and emergency response partners as required.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of Security Experience
• 21+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
