Airport Security Officer

About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Officers at this site will be working multiple customer service positions. Additional responsibilities will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Balance outstanding customer service with client policy enforcement
• Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures, and complete all tasks throughout the shift
• Use de-escalation techniques to defuse situations through verbal judo and communication tactics

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• No felony convictions; must pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Must pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record (less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; no other major violations in the last 3 years)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances and possibly up and down stairs
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Schedule

• Part-time positions available: First Shift (10:30 AM–5:30 PM), Second Shift (5:30 PM–Last Flight), Third Shift (4:00 AM–10:30 AM)
• Weekend availability required
• 16–24 hours per week (could be more)

Pay

$19.10/hr – $20.16/hr (based on posting location)
