- Engage in law enforcement activities including uniformed foot, vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle patrols, and plainclothes assignments.
- Afford information to the public regarding locations and operations of the Department.
Requirements
- At least 20 years of age at the time of application and 21 years of age by police academy graduation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a U.S. or foreign institution, or CHSPE certificate.
- A two or four-year college degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign institution may substitute for the high school requirements.
- Likely authorized to work in the United States under federal law.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
- Must comply with all current Department grooming and appearance policies.
