Responsibilities

• Enforce federal and state regulations, city ordinances, and airport-specific rules and regulations.
• Engage in law enforcement activities including uniformed foot, vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle patrols, and plainclothes assignments.
• Afford information to the public regarding locations and operations of the Department.

Requirements

• At least 20 years of age at the time of application and 21 years of age by police academy graduation.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a U.S. or foreign institution, or CHSPE certificate.
• A two or four-year college degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign institution may substitute for the high school requirements.
• Likely authorized to work in the United States under federal law.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driver's license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
• Must comply with all current Department grooming and appearance policies.
