About the role

Hyde Park Hospitality, LLC (HPH) is a strategic partner with Airport Dimensions and Sodexo at The Club – located within the Pittsburgh International Airport. HPH brings both experience and expertise to every level of food service and customer care. The Club is a fast-paced, fun work environment that is growing in style and amenities. We are looking for Full-Time and Part-Time Airport Lounge Attendants with flexible availability to work weekdays, weekends, and closing scheduled shifts. Shifts are subject to change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of food preparation, cleaning, and customer service for the Lounge.
  • Maintain a neat work environment, kitchen, and passenger seating area including picking up trash, washing dirty dishes, restocking and arranging buffet and food offerings, magazines, and newspapers in an orderly fashion.
  • Restock food and beverage offerings including chafing dishes, crock pots, trays, snacks, coffee, cups, glasses, ice, etc. in all service areas.
  • Complete any paperwork related to daily inventory/orders.
  • Meet customer and passenger needs through courteous customer service skills via clubroom/bar environment.
  • Maintain current city and state approved badged permits as applicable.
  • Adhere to all local and state health department and other state agency regulations.
  • Function in the duties of a Customer Service Assistant if necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service.
  • Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers.
  • Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Essential job functions

  • Ability to cooperate with peers, customers, and supervisors of diverse nature who may hold divergent views.
  • Pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including, but not limited to, local health department food handler certification.
  • Stand during entire scheduled shift.
  • Handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours.
  • Read and interpret basic documents and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings to passengers, customers, and other team members.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
  • Make change when making a cash transaction on Point-of-Sale machine.
  • Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Bend, climb up/down, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, walk.
  • Lift 40 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person.
  • Push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart.
  • Perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others, and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment.
  • Follow all lawful safety, health, and liquor rules and regulations.
  • Present a favorable corporate and customer image through personal appearance and grooming.
  • Pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.
  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.

Schedule

  • 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM–8:30 PM

Airport badging fees and employees' parking are covered. A $200 signing bonus is offered.
