Airport Customer Service Supervisor

Job Summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to oversee all aspects of airline ground support operations. Key responsibilities include auditing flight paperwork, conducting personnel evaluations, coordinating OJI handling, ensuring safety compliance, and managing personnel coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and report discrepancies in ground support equipment
• Coordinate service for cargo and baggage to meet carrier needs and ensure on-time schedules
• Ensure equipment is in safe and efficient operating condition
• Communicate with supervisors and managers to coordinate activities
• Determine manpower requirements and conduct disciplinary procedures
• Comply with federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations
• Follow and enforce safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Airline Customer Service
• Experience in Airport Ground Handling
• Computer experience (6+ months), including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Navigational skills for electronic devices
• Proven supervisory experience
• Operational planning and resource allocation experience
• Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues
• Commercial aviation experience
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• English language proficiency
• Basic computer literacy
• Previous ramp or airline experience
• Completion of all required training and certifications
• Criminal background check and drug screen clearance

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
• Physically fit to work in various weather conditions and loud noise environments

Specific Working Hours

• Variable shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations
