Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and support Airmen Ministry activities, including weekly gatherings, fellowship events, recreational activities, community service projects, and leadership development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain an annual calendar of ministry events, retreats, outreach activities, and Airmen engagement programs.
- Organize and execute annual spiritual retreats and special events for Airmen, including event planning, coordination, setup, and follow-up reporting.
- Support weekly ministry activities such as Bible studies, fellowship dinners, and other approved Airmen engagement programs.
- Recruit, train, coordinate, and support ministry volunteers to assist with program activities.
- Maintain communication with Airmen, volunteers, and Chaplain Corps personnel to identify needs and improve program effectiveness.
- Prepare required reports documenting activities, attendance, outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
- Cookordination program resources, supplies, and funding documentation in accordance with Chaplain Corps procedures.
- Serve as a positive mentor and role model while promoting personal growth, resilience, and strong character among Airmen.
- Maintain a professional and respectful environment that supports participants from diverse faith backgrounds.
- Ensure proper setup, cleanup, and security of facilities used for ministry activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, Ministry, Religious Studies, or an equivalent accredited academic degree.
- Previous experience in ministry, mentoring, community outreach, or leadership development preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting ministry programs, military members, young adults, or similar populations preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a military environment and follow established Air Force procedures.
- Demonstrated spiritual maturity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to mentor and guide young adults.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, communication, and event coordination skills.
- Able to manage multiple activities, coordinate volunteers, and meet program deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with military service members or military communities.
- Experience planning retreats, community events, and group activities.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and public speaking abilities.
- Ability to build relationships and create meaningful connections with Airmen.
