Airline Agent, Passenger Service

About the role

This position serves the Alaska and Sun Country products as a Passenger Service Agent.

Responsibilities

• Processing customers' tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats.
• Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
• Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating customers, and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
• Ensuring compliance with FAA, Airline, and airport regulations.
• Enforcing safety/security measures and protecting sensitive zones.
• Assisting customers with special needs, e.g., those needing assistance with boarding.
• Completing sales reports.
• Performing ad hoc assignments as requested by the Lead or Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing to travel to Seattle WA for 8 days of training.
• Must be available to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, plus weekends and holidays.
• Must be well-groomed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years of Customer Service experience or the equivalent in related training and/or experience.
• Knowledge: Basic computer skills with the ability to type 25 wpm.
• Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test, and have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.
