About the role
This position serves the Alaska and Sun Country products as a Passenger Service Agent.
Responsibilities
- Processing customers' tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats.
- Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
- Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating customers, and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance with FAA, Airline, and airport regulations.
- Enforcing safety/security measures and protecting sensitive zones.
- Assisting customers with special needs, e.g., those needing assistance with boarding.
- Completing sales reports.
- Performing ad hoc assignments as requested by the Lead or Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to travel to Seattle WA for 8 days of training.
- Must be available to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, plus weekends and holidays.
- Must be well-groomed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of Customer Service experience or the equivalent in related training and/or experience.
- Knowledge: Basic computer skills with the ability to type 25 wpm.
- Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test, and have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.
