Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, testing, and repair of mechanical and electrical aircraft systems, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work on mechanical and structural components of airframes, engines, and ground vehicles
- Assist in the development of engineering drawings
- Read and interpret mechanical fabrication and installation drawings
- Install and troubleshoot mechanical systems on military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft
- Use basic hand tools, air tools, and aircraft manuals
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, air tools, and aircraft manuals
- At least 4 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Heavy aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with DC-9 / MD80 aircraft
- Skilled in the use of rivet tools, sheet metal, and machine tools (such as shears, brakes, notchers, saws, milling machines, lathes)
- Experience with measuring tools and test instruments
- Associate's Degree in a related field
