About the role
Certerra has an immediate opening for a full-time Airfield Pavement Professional based in our Charleston, SC and Pittsburgh, PA offices. This position is best suited for someone interested in working in a fast-paced consulting environment, capable of effectively working as part of a collaborative team. The role requires regular travel to out-of-town project locations for extended periods, up to 80% travel time. Per diem and lodging are paid.
Responsibilities
- Field and laboratory testing of construction materials
- Maintaining required certifications
- Completion of daily field/data reports
- Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
- Coordinating with clients and engineering and professional staff
- Travel up to 80% of the time
- Work 40-50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
- Report writing and computer skills
Applicants shall have an educational or professional background in construction inspection services and experience evaluating soils, concrete, and asphalt as they relate to site construction. Experience in airfield pavement construction is a plus.
Requirements
- ACI certifications (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver's License (required)
