Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician I (B006, FL)
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, repair, test, troubleshoot, examine, fit, modify, maintain, install, and determine serviceability of aircraft survival and flight equipment.
- Operate and test emergency signaling and communication devices such as survival radios and beacons.
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on aircraft survival and flight equipment.
- Work with pyrotechnic and explosive devices as required.
- Understand and operate aircraft egress systems.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarize oneself with aircraft assigned to the unit.
- Show and explain proper usage and operation of aircraft survival and flight equipment.
Requirements
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with pyrotechnic and explosive devices.
Understanding of aircraft egress systems.
Detail knowledge of aircraft survival and flight equipment.
Ability to demonstrate and explain proper usage and operation of the equipment.
Qualifications
Secret Clearance Required.
Skills
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with pyrotechnic and explosive devices.
Understanding of aircraft egress systems.
Detail knowledge of aircraft survival and flight equipment.
Ability to demonstrate and explain proper usage and operation of the equipment.
