About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Aircraft Technician A - Flightline to join our Flight Line team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves performing basic assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and conducting function checks of components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions or failures and make adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts or components.
  • Participate in aircraft build-up and troubleshooting of flight line systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.

Requirements

  • H/S diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum four (4) years or more aviation maintenance experience.
  • Background in aviation maintenance.
  • US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Competitive base salary and incentive compensation.

Schedule

On-site, regular hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Carrying: up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Daily lifting: up to 60lbs/27kgs.
  • Daily pushing/pulling: small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Daily sitting: for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Weekly squatting/kneeling: to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Daily standing: for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Daily travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking: through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Daily personal protective equipment required: Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
