Aircraft Systems Mechanic - Entry Level

About the role

Entry-level Systems Mechanic supporting aerospace manufacturing operations, primarily in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.
• Assemble, install, diagnose malfunctions, maintain, disassemble, repair, and reassemble aircraft systems, including hydraulic components.
• Operate manufacturing controls and ensure quality standards.
• Recommend continuous improvement activities and ensure safety with PPE and respirator certification.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; 3+ months (Level E) or 9+ months (Level 1) experience in aerospace or related fields.
• Ability to perform physically strenuous tasks, access confined spaces, and work in enclosed environments.
• Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluations and obtain necessary clearances (Secret/Top-Secret).
• Basic computer skills for navigating systems and completing training.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and travel up to 10%.

Preferred Skills

• Plumbing, HVAC, or vehicle mechanic experience.
• Completion of A&P program.
• Active security clearance.
