About the role
This position is available as a Full-time On-site opportunity in Cedar Hill, TX, USA.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
- Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
- Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer oriented work habits.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License is not required, but welcome.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Journeyman: 0-5 years of experience as sheet metal technician.
- Master: 5+ years’ experience as a sheet metal technician.
Skills
- Basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft structures.
- Reading blueprints, working from drawings, fastening systems, procedures and techniques.
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
