Job Duties
- Document detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Maintain training currency.
- Lay out, locate, fit, trim, assemble, and install parts assemblies and skins where dimensions are critical and fitting is to exacting tolerance.
- Drill, countersink, and rivet exterior skin panels where skin quality is critical.
- Works from all types of complex blueprints, E.O.'s and production illustrations.
- Completes inspection of existing aircraft structures.
- Completes any or all structural rework/repair, squawks, and E.O.'s.
- May be required to work in confined space.
- Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructions.
- Performs aircraft inventory, acceptance, and inspections.
- Directly Used Material & Equipment: Drive company vehicle. Operate ground support equipment required to perform daily job functions.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years of documented experience in aircraft structural installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair.
- Heavy C-130 structural modification/inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders, drawings, and blueprints.
- Always maintain training currency.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to schedule job tasks to meet completion timeline.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Citizen of the United States of America.
- Able to pass a stringent background investigation.
- Able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties.
- Able to work independently and safely.
- Willing/able to work any shift or schedule.
