About the role
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Aircraft Records Coordinator 3 to support F-35 Organizational-Level maintenance at MCAS Miramar, CA. This role maintains aircraft logs and records, ensures the integrity of aviation readiness reporting data, and supports automated log sets for organizational and intermediate maintenance. The position acts as the authority for the validity of all aviation readiness reporting data and may include additional functions such as database management, network systems administration, and office automation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain aircraft logs and records, including receipt or transfer of aircraft and relocation to/from D-level facilities for standard rework.
- Report flight loads, launch, and landing data; make required logbook entries.
- Screen time-compliant technical directives for applicability to assigned aircraft and related equipment.
- Obtain naval aircraft flight record information to maintain applicable logbooks and records.
- Initiate, maintain, close out, reinitiate, and dispose of logbooks/records.
- Maintain local records on service-life items and monitor accumulations of forced removal items.
- Prepare reports and correspondence for aircraft maintenance and repair activities.
- Interpret trends to support aviation information and readiness reporting requirements.
- Manage computer information systems, verify database integrity, control user access, and ensure system accuracy.
- Support network system functions and maintain database tables.
- Use Logistics Control Number (LCN) bill of material (BOM) to ensure aircraft components are applicable to specific aircraft.
- Coordinate with ALIS (Autonomic Logistics Information System) team members to resolve EEL updates (Electronic Equipment Logs) and ALIS issues.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to build daily flight schedules, create work orders, and track them via JCNs (Job Control Numbers).
- Write Action Requests (ARs) for ALIS/Parts/Aircraft issues, such as updating the ALIS database for new parts or resolving UNK serial numbers.
- Process Component Receiving Sheets (CRS) and research part information using JTD (Joint-Service Technical Data) Work Orders.
- Track weight and balance changes to the aircraft and ensure AWBS information is relayed to the owning unit.
- Track and push PAIRS against an aircraft using MM_PAIRS, build solution sets, and create Maintenance Actions using LCNs.
- Institute contingency processing during periods of planned and unplanned database system non-availability.
- Maintain naval aircraft maintenance publications/files.
- Operate and maintain the NALCOMIS application for Marine Aviation Logistic Squadrons or Organizational Maintenance Activities.
- Provide temporary support to other CLS locations and/or emerging deployments.
- Work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call status (24/7/365).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of aircraft maintenance data administrative experience as a data clerk, maintenance/production data analyst, or related role.
- Completion of the Aviation Maintenance Administration Class Course (N336441) or NALCOMIS/ALIS application administrator/analyst experience performing data analysis and trend interpretation for DoD/Naval aviation information and readiness reporting.
- Experience managing multiple projects or responsibilities with changing schedules and customer milestones.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 years of F-18, AV-8B, F-22, or F-35 NALCOMIS/BRICE/ALIS Application Administrator/Analyst experience.
- In-depth F-35 ALIS/CMMS experience.
- IAT Level II certification.
- Network Plus Certification or Security Plus Certification.
- NALCOMIS Aviation Maintenance OMA Database Administrator/Analyst Strand Course (N23WTL2).
- Completion of the ALIS Management and Supervision Course (C-555-2019).
- Understanding of Supply Metrics (e.g., MICAP Hours, GIE) and their contribution to Air Vehicle Metrics (e.g., MC, FMC).
- SAP experience.
- Experience with Power BI or CompTIA.
Pay
Primary level salary range: $51,400.00 – $85,600.00. Base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
