Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years Aircraft Maintenance experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
- Three (3) years’ experience will be accepted for candidates that have a Bachelor’s from an accredited college.
- Related experience must include the following:
- Must have 2 years F-35 aircraft maintenance experience.
- Must be proficient in the use of the basic Microsoft office suite, particularly must be functional in development of databases and spreadsheets.
- Must have in-depth working knowledge of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
Job Description
You will be a part of the Aircraft Maintenance Training Team at MCAS Beaufort, SC supporting F-35 Maintenance activities across the full spectrum of Field Operations at various F-35 operating locations both inside the US and internationally.
What You Will Be Doing
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of F-35 Aircraft Maintenance, Joint Technical data, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Documentation, Action Request processing, Formal On-The-Job Task training/Certifier, and training development/design.
- Serve as the F-35 Training SME for the newly assigned aircraft maintenance crews and senior leadership.
- Train multiple trainees at a time on the ground handling, engine removal, and other component replacement required for the F-35 aircraft.
- Support the certification and development of newly assigned instructors and newly developed course materials.
- Certify instructors to independently teach courses, as well as perform the duties of quality oversight and standardization in the review and modification of course materials.
- Support often and extended business travel (potentially with short notice) with the potential to support Foreign Partner locations.
- Be available to work flexible schedule to cover nights and weekends as required.

- Must possess at minimum Interim Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
- OJT trainer experience.
- 7 Level/Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Equivalent F-35 Egress/Seat Certifications/FLSC.
- F-35 Engine Turn/Run Certification.
- F-35 Engine removal and installation experience.
- F-35 Engine Lift Fan/Driveshaft experience.
- F-35 Structures/Low Observable experience.
- F-35 Weapons/Ordnance experience.
- Knowledgeable of OSHA, AFOSH, NAVOSH, and state safety and health standards and regulations.
- Flightline experience.
- Knowledgeable on NAVAIR 4790.
- Training Course Development Experience.
