Aircraft Mechanic II – Avionics Location: Fairchild AFB, WA Employment Type: Full-Time Clearance Required Travel Required Multiple Openings Available Summary Strategic Technology Institute (STi) is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Avionics personnel to support KC-135 aircraft maintenance operations. This position is based at Fairchild AFB, WA and requires travel to support maintenance operations throughout the United States and overseas. Ideal candidates specialize in aircraft electrical and avionics systems, with experience troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, installing, and testing avionics equipment to ensure mission readiness. Responsibilities Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics systems.Install, repair, replace, and modify avionics components and wiring.Perform operational and functional testing of aircraft systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Technical Orders.Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Document maintenance actions accurately.Support aircraft inspections and operational readiness.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Travel as required to support mission requirements. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3 years of avionics maintenance experience on an Air Force wide-body aircraft (KC-135 preferred).Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical and avionics systems.Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Technical Orders.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.Willingness to travel as required.U.S. Citizenship required.Clearance Required.
