Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics Electrician)

ARS is looking for UH-60 Mechanics to work in Topeka, Kansas.

About the role

UH-60 mechanics perform scheduled inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems, including lubrication of required components and removal/installation of aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment. They assist in troubleshooting and inspecting aircraft systems, subsystems, and components according to technical publications and regulations, diagnose malfunctions, and maintain aircraft historical forms and records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.
• Applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and/or operation.
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers.
• UH-60 maintenance experience.
• Own tools in accordance with US Army 15T toolbox standards (preferred).
• Working knowledge of technical publications and ability to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
• Ability to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license.
