About the Role
The Aircraft Mechanic II maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and components of moderate difficulty.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
- Services and repairs essential components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical units.
- Applies deep technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to isolate equipment malfunctions.
- Restores equipment to required operational or airworthy conditions by applying advanced technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a US citizen with a valid driver's license.
- Must have a Top Secret clearance.
- Must have a valid passport.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience on P-8 aircraft series.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or military equivalent programs preferred.
- Ability to define and solve problems.
Working Conditions
- Mostly in a high-noise environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- May include bending, twisting, and lifting.
