About the Role
This Aircraft Mechanic 1 position is in a back shop component repair facility within the prop and rotor shop, supporting rotary wing aviation.
Responsibilities
- Work on components from three MDS aircraft: MH-6, MH-47, and MH-60.
- Inspect, adjust, repair, and return to service power train components including gearboxes, rotor heads, tail rotor systems, stabilators, rotor dampeners, and other components.
- Use supplied technical references to complete all assigned work.
- Document all work completed in ACN (Aircraft Condition Notice).
- Use PPE and hazmat products in accordance with technical publications and site procedures.
Requirements
- Six years of aviation rotary wing maintenance experience, preferably with two years of component repair experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Service school producing Army MOS 15D or equivalent is desirable.
- Must have own tools and toolbox.
- Familiarity with digital record-keeping systems such as ACN, ULLS-A, ELAS, etc.
- Physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, bend, squat, and kneel for long periods of time.
