Aircraft Manager II

Airbus Americas, Inc is seeking an Aircraft Manager II to join our team in Mobile, AL. This role focuses on folio management of assigned aircraft during the production and flight test phase until handover to the delivery center is complete.

About the Role

The Aircraft Manager II analyzes and steers all new issues found during the assembly process, including non-conformities, customer findings, and flightline issues. The role involves identifying critical points, initiating action plans, and ensuring follow-ups until closure.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor Aircraft Manager employees to ensure individual development under the guidance of the HO ACM team (10%).
• Support the ACM team as a backup for all ACM functions (Flowline, Flightline, and Cross Plant) (10%).
• Lead daily aircraft review meetings and assign priorities to the entire MFT (10%).
• Serve as the L2 link to escalate issues to ACM IIIs, ensuring proper documentation in Tandem (5%).
• Follow up on daily aircraft milestones through the Master Production Schedule (10%).
• Document, follow, organize, and manage all non-conformities throughout the flowline/flightline process, driving closure in collaboration with relevant parties (15%).
• Prepare and conduct FOT meetings, ensuring on-time closure of all folio points and non-conformities (10%).
• Prepare aircraft documentation for Internal Quality Gates and lead meetings to ensure aircraft status is known by the receiving station (10%).
• Create the MSN status report and provide ongoing updates on aircraft progress, including inflow analysis (5%).
• Proactively address aircraft issue follow-ups, anticipating risks and driving resolution (10%).
• Generate the daily MSN Report (folio point analysis) and highlight priority topics (10%).
• Plan Working Parties to resolve major aircraft issues when necessary (5%).
• Record information in "Aircraft Progress" and define daily priorities with Station Managers (10%).
• Cooperate in national and international projects (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned (5%).

Located on ‘Airbus Way’ at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL, this role operates within a state-of-the-art facility producing A320 Family aircraft and A220 aircraft. Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. In lieu of a degree, training as a technician in a technical field related to aviation manufacturing is acceptable.
• Five or more years of experience in aviation-related fields.
• Two or more years of experience in an Aircraft Manager role within Airbus or a leadership role.
• Fluency in written and spoken English with demonstrably effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, supply chain, and quality knowledge.
• Ability to function effectively as part of an international team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict management.
• Experience in establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a leading role.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
