About the role
Responsible for the maintenance and safety of helicopter fleets, ensuring high-quality transportation and patient care services. Performs mechanical inspections, repairs, and provides status updates to lead technicians. Manages inventory, updates equipment logs, and documents FAA-related paperwork while adhering to policies and security standards. Maintains a safe, clean work environment and facilitates effective communication among departments, vendors, and team members. Collaborates professionally with health, safety personnel, and operations staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspections and repairs on helicopter fleets
- Provide status updates to lead technicians
- Manage inventory and update equipment logs
- Document FAA-related paperwork in compliance with regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Facilitate communication among departments, vendors, and team members
- Collaborate with health, safety, and operations personnel
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years turbine helicopter experience
- Valid A&P license
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance systems, and records
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call rotations
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull over 100 lbs.
- Acceptance under FAA drug and alcohol testing
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135
- FAA Inspection Authorization
- Autopilot, avionics, and electrical repair experience
- Experience under CFR Part 135
