About the role

Breeze Airways is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who can lead and direct the work of other AMTs under their supervision. The position involves ensuring all work is in compliance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and company policies, communicating with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC), and adhering to FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns, leads, and directs the work of AMT's under his/her supervision
  • Ensures all work performed and maintenance duties are in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and company policy and procedures
  • Communicates with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) with aircraft status
  • Completes all appropriate Breeze forms on all work assigned and performed
  • Handles all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft while in the repair process
  • Maintains documentation of open discrepancies and completed corrective actions
  • Submits personal OJT Task Cards on time and accurately
  • Maintains the work area in a safe, clean, and operative condition and ensures all tools are accounted for at completion of all assigned tasks
  • Notifies the Maintenance Supervisor and all other appropriate Team Members of any condition that compromises the airworthiness of Breeze aircraft
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC, and/or DOM
  • Achieves performance measures and adheres to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P)
  • 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience maintaining commercial aircraft
  • Recent experience on commercial aircraft types
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • Authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
  • Willing to travel 20% of the time
  • Willing to work with other departments within the company as needed
  • Passes a DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Passes a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization

Qualifications

  • Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR part 121 operations
  • Familiarity with an airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAX
  • Preferred degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance, or Business

Skills

  • Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay

  • $39.00 starting pay based on experience
  • $2.00 shift differential for shifts between 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Schedule

  • Days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required
  • Travel may be required up to 20%
