AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - FT

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all repairs are accomplished by approved methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer.
  • Plan and coordinate activities to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is completed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance and repair instructions and FAA regulations.
  • Exercise all reasonable care to protect all parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and completed units against loss or damage.
  • Ensure all applicable repair station forms are properly completed.
  • Ensure good housekeeping rules are observed and that all shop-working areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.
  • Ensure proper tools and equipment are available and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition.
  • Communicate with the maintenance lead technicians concerning progress of the assigned work.
  • Perform airframe and powerplant repairs, inspections, and modifications.
  • Remove and disassemble defective parts, assemble and install replacement parts, and test systems.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Signed off all discrepancies with all the information completed, such as part numbers, maintenance manual, ATA and Chapter, etc.
  • Displays and promotes a positive attitude toward work and other employees.
  • Aid in meeting completion and production schedules and producing the quality our company has come to expect.
  • Affirm that all safety precautions are taken and that available protection devices are properly used at all times when applicable to the tasks performed, in order to reduce the risk of possible injury and health problems resulting from performing assigned tasks.
  • Identify any employees' problems and concerns and deal with them, if unable to solve the problems, forward them to management.
  • Participate with management to strategize and implement new maintenance tactics.
  • Provide leadership and communication to subordinates and employees.

Job Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Able to pass a drug screening test.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Knowledge Required

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Preferred).
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Strong understanding in 135 and 145 repair station operations/regulations required.
