Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Flexjet Vertical Lift S76)

About the role

This position will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Foster the Flexjet culture while embracing the company fundamental principles
  • Adhere to Flexjet policies and procedures
  • Gain efficiency in performing assigned duties in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations
  • Perform quality inspections, repairs, component replacement and apply corrective actions to maintain the airworthiness of the helicopter
  • Operate ground support equipment including, but not limited to jacks, nitrogen and air conditioning servicing carts
  • Support with simple to complex repairs at on-site & off-site location
  • Support with performing engine runs for system operations and troubleshooting
  • Support with fueling or defueling helicopters as needed
  • Knowledge Skills: Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams and manuals; Basic knowledge of avionics systems or aircraft systems; Ability to understand and properly use manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), General Operations Manual (GOM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual, and Systems Manual; Basic skill to assemble helicopter parts and components; Skill to use calibrated, hand and specialized tools necessary to perform job; Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job; Skill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function; Skill to apply sealing compounds

Requirements

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P)
  • Basic set of hand tools
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, as necessary

Qualifications

  • Level 1: Minimum 1-3 years of experience; Helicopter experience preferred; not required; Successful completion of Level 2; Minimum 2-5 years of experience; Completed an initial technician training class for one of the Flexjet helicopters or completed a training class on initial or advanced troubleshooting; Perform routine and non-routine maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness
  • Level 2: Minimum 3-6 years of experience; Able to troubleshoot Avionics; Entry Level ERT Qualifications and Aircraft initial training earned on Aircraft Type not on our Ops Spec will be considered during the hiring or review process. Credit for non-fleet type Aircraft ERT Qualifications, Training, specialized skills or equivalent desirable experience will be at the Hiring /Review Managers discretion

Skills

  • Training/Ability to use Rads for MIR & T/R Track & Balance

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
