Aircraft Maintenance Manager III - EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Federal, State, Local, County, and Navy environmental laws, policies and regulations.
• Aid in establishing guidelines to protect the health and safety of employees and the community by minimizing/eliminating the risk of environmental pollution.
• Serve as the contractor's point of contact for the collection of Contractor-generated Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE), preparation for shipping (e.g., palletizing), and preparation of all supporting paperwork for the disposal of Contractor-generated HAZWASTE in support of the Daily Flight Schedule.

Qualifications

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university in engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, or professional aeronautics with 4+ years in U.S. Navy requirements.
• AA/AS from an accredited college or university with 6+ years in U.S. Navy requirements.
• High school graduate or equivalent with 8+ years in U.S. Navy requirements.
• Minimum of 6 years of practical experience within the last 10 years in the management, administration, or operation of a safety and occupational health program or specialty.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience within the last 4 years in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program, including receiving, storage, distribution, and handling, and disposal of all types of material at the Contractor's job site.
• At least 2 years of experience shall include planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire command.
• Capable of performing the functions and being knowledgeable of aviation ground safety and management.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.

Pay and Benefits

• Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000
