Aircraft Logs & Records Technician
Location: MCAS New River, NC
Program: VMMT-204 MV-22 Osprey Training Squadron

Clearance Required: Active Secret

Key Responsibilities
- Aircraft Logs & Records / Material Control
- Execute daily Material Control Program requirements in accordance with NAMP 4790 (series)
- Maintain complete and accurate aircraft and engine logbooks, records, and associated maintenance documentation
- Perform all data entry, retrieval, validation, and correction functions related to aviation maintenance records
- Analyze and correct discrepancies caused by software, hardware, or data entry errors
- Transmit and receive maintenance data via approved electronic means in support of deployments and detachments
- Extract, analyze, and interpret maintenance data to generate management and readiness reports
- Maintenance Administration Support
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Maintenance Department
- Prepare maintenance-related correspondence, reports, and administrative documentation
- Maintain, distribute, retain, and dispose of maintenance correspondence and records in compliance with SECNAV directives
- Manage a centralized maintenance reporting and recordkeeping system, including tickler files to ensure timely submission of recurring reports
- Create and maintain archives, backups, and data saves in support of operational continuity
- Systems & Data Management
- Perform database and basic systems analysis related to aircraft maintenance records
- Support networking functions between maintenance and administrative systems
- Ensure data integrity and continuity across maintenance tracking platforms
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with aircraft maintenance logs and records in a military or DoD contractor environment
- Working knowledge of NAMP 4790 series maintenance documentation requirements
- Proficiency in aviation maintenance data systems and electronic recordkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of time-sensitive documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical maintenance environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting MV-22, CMV-22B, or tiltrotor aircraft
- Previous assignment within a USMC, Navy, or DoD aviation maintenance organization
- Experience supporting training squadrons or FMS aviation programs
- Familiarity with maintenance reporting systems (e.g., NALCOMIS or equivalent)

This role directly supports uninterrupted pilot production for multiple DoD services and allied partners. Even short-term disruptions in maintenance documentation or administrative processes can have long-term impacts on pilot sustainment and operational readiness across the global force.
