Aircraft Fueling Technician

About the role

Join our team as an Aircraft Fueling Technician and play a vital role in daily operations, providing elite customer service to crew and passengers. This position involves fueling and positioning aircraft, assisting with luggage, and communicating effectively with aviation customer service representatives. Freeman Jet Center services private, military, and commercial aircraft, fostering a team environment with a passion for aviation and extraordinary customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft movement, placement, fueling, and storage
• Fuel movement, quality control, disposal, and paperwork
• Daily check and upkeep of crew cars and vehicles
• Facility maintenance and upkeep
• Customer service and promotion of services
• Monthly crew meetings
• Annual recurrent training

Requirements

• Customer focus with a naturally outgoing/extroverted personality
• Ability to communicate with customers and employees in person, on the phone, and through radio communications
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (requires a clean driving record)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
• Basic mathematical knowledge
• Bi-lingual preferred
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Zero-tolerance drug-free employer (includes pre-employment and random screening)

Work Environment

This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and involves direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. Exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery may occur.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
• Outside work in all types of weather conditions
• Position may require bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping, and climbing a ladder

Schedule

This is a non-exempt, full-time position that includes shift work, evenings, weekends, and scheduled company holidays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in the service industry preferred
• Prior aircraft ground handling experience a plus
• Entry-level position
