Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum four (4) years of avionics experience required in one of the following or equivalent fields, Communications/Navigations, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Electro/Environmental required.
  • Strong aptitude to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings
  • Minimum or equivalent of a USAF 7-Level (Craftsman)
  • To obtain a secret security clearance and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Job Description

You will be an Aircraft Electrician II, responsible for:

  • Installing, clamping, terminating, and testing electrical cables and harnesses on C-130J aircraft
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining C-130J avionic and electrical systems, components, and related equipment
  • Removing and installing aircraft components as required, and conducting functional tests of components and systems
  • Assisting with aircraft launch and recovery, servicing, rigging, jacking, towing, and inspections
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement
  • Using and applying hand tools, power tools, machines, work stands, support equipment, and special tools/calibrated test equipment

What You Will Be Doing

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Desired Skills

  • Heavy Avionics/Electrical systems modification/integration/repair
  • Experience on C-130 aircraft
  • Proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781 forms
  • Active Secret Clearance preferred
