About the role

Fully independent aviation repair technician capable of troubleshooting and mentoring. Personnel performing maintenance functions report to the Lead Technician and are responsible for performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil and government aviation articles in accordance with current technical data provided in the manufacturer’s instruction for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

  • Advanced troubleshooting
  • Complex repairs
  • Solid functional testing abilities
  • Able to identify manual discrepancies
  • Properly record all work performed on the appropriate maintenance record
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program
  • Solid judgment and repair disposition

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of three years as an aviation repair technician or similar role
  • Ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain a security clearance
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license desired

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft component systems
  • Proven independent production ability
  • Excellent paperwork accuracy
  • Minimal supervision required to perform assigned tasks
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required in a repair station setting
  • Excellent command of the English language with ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

This position requires participation in a Department of Transportation (DOT) approved drug-testing program conducted by an HHS-certified laboratory.
