Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Cleans and services aircraft interiors, including cabin, cockpit, galleys, and lavatories.
- Prepares the cabin for customer boarding and departure by cleaning seats, seat pockets, floors, galleys, and lavatories with high attention to detail to ensure all areas are completely free of dirt, debris, marks, and fingerprints.
- Checks, handles, assembles, removes, and installs passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies according to list specifications.
- Assists ramp agents when cabin cleaning is complete.
- Performs FOD (Foreign Object Debris) walks in the ramp area between flights.
- Ensures necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights.
- Reads and interprets aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage routing tags.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
- Eligible to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Some shifts may require extended hours to meet business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items of 70 pounds or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
- Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
- Must be able to work in the elements, including rain, sleet, snow, and high temperatures.
