Job Description Overview

The position involves executing aircraft and aviation maintenance of components within timelines established by customer, FAA, and ATC quality standards. Aircraft components include pneumatic valves, electromechanical actuators, and electrical components.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company-provided manuals, drawings, procedures, and company-provided training.
  • Assemble and disassemble various components of aircraft during repairs and maintenance.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate components using hand tools, gauges, and other equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
  • Resolve complex technical problems and troubleshoot unusual repairs.
  • Perform in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Automotive, HVAC, and/or Electrical knowledge.
  • Desire and ability to learn the Aerospace industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well in a team environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in automotive, HVAC, or electrical fields preferred.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly required to talk or listen.
  • Works in moderate noise levels.
  • Travel less than 1%.
  • No vision requirements.

Safety-Sensitive Position Requirement

  • This position is classified as a safety-sensitive role and is subject to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations (14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40).
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment DOT urine drug test.
  • The employee will be subject to ongoing, unannounced random drug and alcohol testing, post-accident testing, and reasonable suspicion testing.
  • Refusal to submit to a test or a verified positive result will result in immediate removal from safety-sensitive duties.
