Job Description
You will be an Aircraft Avionics Technician I. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Avionics Technician I to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing:
- The Avionics Technician I (Level I) provides entry-level electrical and avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for the SOF GLSS rotary-wing fleets.
- The duties of this title will perform many tasks independently.
- The candidate will commonly assist or work within general instructions from higher rated employees in the environment.
- The duties will include scheduled and unscheduled modifications, inspections, and ensure all electrical systems meet airworthiness standards to support time-critical Special Operations missions.

Mandatory Requirements
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Desired Skills
- Specific Aircraft Electrical Experience
- Experience with MD-500 / AH-MH-6 or similar small-helicopter platforms – troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and component replacement.
- Familiarity with Larger Helicopter Airframes Knowledge of electrical systems on CH-MH-47 and UH-MH-60 airframes; ability to support multiple platforms.
- Specializations (optional)
- Avionics Systems – Calibration of navigation, communication, and flight-control electronics.
- Power Generation & Distribution – Maintenance of generators, batteries, wiring harnesses, circuit protection devices.
- Electrical Troubleshooting – Proficient use of diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, avionics test sets).
- Certifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred.
- Technical Training
- Completion of aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance courses (e.g., Rotor-Wing Electrical Maintenance School).
